Hello Portugalete people!
My life in Portugalete is going really well so far and I want to share some things that we have done here for the local community.

Erasmus+ Youth Exchange for international people
We have successfully applied for the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange. I have written this project with the cooperation and big help of PAS. We are waiting for the response of the Spanish National Agency and if they prove it the project will také place in Portugalete in June 2022!
What is this project about?
30 people aged 18-30 from 6 countries will come here for one week to learn about healthy lifestyle and environment in a non-formal way.

Youth Exchange with Irish group
We are also preparing for another Youth Exchange with Irish people. This project is a little bit different as we will have two groups of young people aged 16-20 and we will spend both groups together 9 days in their home city – Belfast and 9 days in our home city – Portugalete.
I have gone for a preparátory visit to Belfast to meet the associacion and discuss details needed to organize the project. I loved it!

European Corner
We have set up the European Corner in Gazte Gela (Aula Joven) and promoted it on social media. The European Corner is here for everybody who is interested in going abroad to live an adventure of any type!
We have a selection of volunteer programs, internships, jobs or advice for any kind of travel the local people desire.

Europe Through Young Eyes – My photo exhibition in Gazte Gela
I am happy that Gazte Gela let me present a little bit of my traveling experience through pictures that we have posted in the local youth center. I chose 45 pictures including as many countries in Europe visited and as many different ways or programs used to live those opportunities. It was hard to choose only 45 but there they are. This exhibition could have been seen during March in Gazte Gela Portugalete.

PAS has reached 15 years
We have celebrated the 15 years of PAS organization. We have had several events and still continue with them all year :). Those important years need to be celebrated enough.
One of the events I participated in was the carnival of Portugalete and walk with tasks around the city! I was a photographer there. It was fun!

GOPY association
We cooperate continuously with the GOPY association which gives opportunities to young people to move and get working/volunteer experience in several regions around the place of Pyrenees (including Spain and France).
Together we are preparing some programs and trying to inform people about this possibility. In May we will go to Zaragoza to learn more about those programs so we can offer the most of it to our young people!
